Investors Not Interested in New Capital Project

It is believed that investors will still not provide investment, even though President Joko Widodo has sold the Nusantara Capital State (IKN) project.

Even now President Jokowi is considered to have sold his homeland for unclear ambitions.

Director of the Movement for Change, Muslim Arbi said, the world will face a recession, so it is impossible for no investors to invest heavily in IKN.

In addition, President Jokowi also has a track record of building infrastructure that does not work in the future.

“Whether IKN wants to be sold, investors will be reluctant. Moreover, many of Jokowi’s infrastructure projects are stalled, making losses, and the business prospects will definitely lose,” said Muslim in his statement, Sunday (23/10).

Moreover, said Muslim, the projects of a number of airports and a number of toll roads were built at high prices, but were sold at low prices because they were losing money.

“It will be a black note for investors to re-enter here in the Jokowi era. Including MRT, LRT, KCJB,” said Muslim.

“If it goes on sale, investors will not believe it even more, because it is considered a cheap project, including an offer up to 160 years of land management by investors. This is selling the country, this is selling the country for unclear ambitions,” he concluded.
